Turn a local search into a reviewable list
For research in Cairo or Alexandria, a query such as ‘design studios in Nasr City’ is more useful than an unrestricted search for every company. Enter the category and location, set a result limit and select the fields that serve your purpose.
Fields depend on what the source makes available. A missing phone number or website does not mean the tool can infer it or obtain it from private information.
Choose the fields you need
| Group | Available field examples | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Business identity | Name, category, address | Check that the business fits your research |
| Published business details | Phone, website, Maps URL | Return to the source and verify available contact details |
| Search context | Rating, review count, business status, search keyword and location | Understand where the record came from before relying on it |
Search, review and export
- Open the Google Maps tool in the Windows application and enter a keyword and location.
- Choose result fields and a limit, and enable deduplication when appropriate.
- Run the search and inspect names and addresses rather than relying only on row counts.
- Export to CSV and retain the query and source link so that the list can be checked later.
Example: comparing suppliers in two areas
A purchasing team can research restaurant-equipment suppliers in two areas, then compare category, address and website. Check a small sample first: does it fit the task, are branches counted twice, and are contact details still published?
Use a supported batch query file for repeated keyword/location searches. Treat branches carefully and do not assume that a published number is permission to send marketing messages.
Check the source conditions
Public visibility does not automatically grant collection or redistribution rights. Review the relevant Google Maps terms and permissions for your use; some uses require a different approved access path or permission.
AuraData is independent of Google. Source availability and fields can change, and the tool does not guarantee a number of companies, complete phone coverage or email extraction from every business website.
Frequently asked questions
Can I include company phone numbers?+
You can include the phone field when it is available. Verify the number and the permitted purpose; not every result contains a valid phone number.
Can I open the export in Excel?+
Yes. The verified export format is CSV, which Excel can import. Import phone numbers as text to preserve leading zeros.
Can I search multiple areas?+
A supported batch file can contain keyword/location queries. Review the results for each query.
